Alcove plate
Cord Clearance
Before a plug is treated as settled, check reach, heat gap, and seating setback.
Clearance is a short list: the outlet a cord must still meet, the empty air a hot face must keep, and the setback a seat must hold. A blank column keeps the plate on the table. The list is not an electrical-code review and not an insurance filing.
- Reach written before “may plug”
- Blank heat field keeps the plate
- Not a code or statute review
